Here at Roots Family Medicine we practice functional medicine, which is patient-centered care that promotes health, beyond simply the absence of disease. We listen to the patient and learn their story, so we can design a method of treatment that addresses your unique needs.
Functional medicine combines traditional Western medical practices (allopathic) with a focus on enhancing your health through nutrition, diet, and exercise; use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques; and prescribed combinations of drugs and/or botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic diets, detoxification programs, or stress-management techniques.
We listen to the patient and learn their story, so we can design a method of treatment that addresses your unique needs.
We also consider the unique genetic makeup of the patient, along with both internal (mind, and body) and external (physical and social environment) factors that impact the way the patient functions as a whole.
